Course Objective:
This entry-level course in Steam Engineering prepares students for the Massachusetts state licensing exam for high-pressure boiler operation. A Massachusetts state license is required for employment in operating high-pressure boilers
The program can be completed in just 10 weeks.
Course Outline:
- Theory and operation of boilers
- Construction and design of boilers
- Steam systems and their controls
- Water supply systems and their controls
- Fuel systems and their controls
- Draft and flue gas systems
- Operation and maintenance of boilers
- Relevant national and local codes and regulations for boilers and pressure vessels
Schedule: Day or Evening two days per week.
