Course Objective:
Students will learn the basics of residential oil and gas heating and oil and gas burner technology, installation, service, repair, and maintenance.
The program can be completed in 17 weeks.
Course Outline:
- Introduction to oil and gas-fired burners.
- Gas piping and venting
- Combustion and flue gas analysis
- Basic electricity trouble shooting and controls
- Heating systems
- Preventive maintenance and tune-up
- Oil and gas burner installation and repair
- State of Massachusetts oil Burner codes and licensing prep exam
Schedule: Classes meet twice a week.
Classes are offered at our Oxford, MA location.
