Advanced Welding Certification

This course is designed for experienced welders seeking to demonstrate and document their welding skills through welder performance qualification testing. 

Testing is administered and evaluated by an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in accordance with applicable AWS D1.1 requirements. Successful participants receive documentation of their welding qualification from Technology Learning Center (TLC) 

• Must be an experienced welder.
• Ability to pass a basic welding skills assessment. 

One welding process may be tested per course:

• SMAW (Stick)
• GMAW (MIG)
• GTAW (TIG)
• FCAW (Flux Core)

AWS Certification Opportunities

TLC's Advanced Welding Certification and welder qualification testing are separate from the AWS Certified Welder credential issued by the American Welding Society.

For welders who wish to pursue an AWS Certified Welder credential, TLC can help facilitate certification opportunities through our partner testing organizations. Additional testing requirements and fees may apply . Please note that there is an additional cost associated with obtaining these certifications.
